How to update your DNS settings

Webflow is making a change to their infrastructure which takes effect on December 15, 2025.

This update requires users who host their site on Webflow to make a minor change to their DNS settings.

To update, users will need to visit the admin console of their domain registrar or dns provider and update the CNAME record to cdn.webflow.com. It may take up to 48 hours for changes to take effect.

The update is simple, so if you haven't got an IT team who handles this kind of thing for you, don't worry - we have put together this handy guide to help you out.

1. Visit your domain registrar

To get started, you need to visit your domain registrar. This is the service that you bought your domain from.

Then, access your domain settings.

2. Go to your DNS settings

Your domain settings should have a menu item that says 'DNS settings'.

If you are struggling to find it, most registrars provide guides on how to update your DNS settings.

Below are links to the guides for some commonly used registrars.

3. Click edit

You should already have a CNAME record for Webflow on your domain.

You will need to find this record and click edit to make the change.

4. Change the record value

Recplace the current data value with the new one below. Then click save.

The new record value
cdn.webflow.com

5. Change the A Record

You will also need to replace your 2 A records (75.2.70.75 & 99.83.190.102) to the IP address below.

The easies way to do this is to edit one of the records and then delete the other one.

The new record value
198.202.211.1

You're done!

Congratulations! Now you just need to wait for the changes to take effect. This may take up to 48 hours.
